"The components of anxiety, stress, fear, and anger do not exist independently of you in the world. They simply do not exist in the physical world, even though we talk about them as if they do."
Many things exist in this world without human existence. These things are real, and do not require our involvement to make them so. Emotions are not one of these things. Without human beings, emotions would not exist.
Consider this as Wayne Dyer did when he made the above statement. All of the negative emotions you experience are created by you. They can't exist without you, and therefore, they are your own manifestation.
Next time you're feeling any negative emotions, remember you created it, and you can create a positive emotion in its place. With practice you'll learn to do this with relative ease, and live a more positive life. Start with the understanding that everyday can be a good day, and some days can be great! Then, progress to the reality that everyday is a good day, and some days are great!

Courage!
"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear."
Yesterday, we discussed the importance of having the courage to face your fears. Fear gone unchallenged has the potential to manifest itself into vile emotions with far reaching consequences.
Mark Twain acknowledges that fear exists when he stated the above. He also acknowledges courage challenges fear by offering resistance to it, and ultimately mastering it. Have the courage to confront your fears, master them, and defeat them one-by-one.
Mastering this area of your life will provide you with the confidence necessary to face any challenge. Since fear is one of the most powerful of all emotions, gaining the confidence from overcoming it is incredibly powerful and rewarding. Now is the perfect time to start!

Fear!
"Fear has it's use, but cowardice has none."
Think for a moment of the things you fear doing. Now ask yourself if you fear doing these things or do you demonstrate cowardice? Answer honestly, and don't fear your response. Fear has a unique ability to empower us to action, and ultimately conquer that fear. Cowardice will prevent us from taking action, and keep us paralyzed.
Mahatma Gandhi spoke these words, and he starts our week's discussions. We'll look at fear, and how it us used by some to intimidate, and oppress others. It is also used by some as a call to action! The only time fear has power over anyone is if they lack the courage to overcome it. Without courage fear becomes cowardice.
Consider how you define your fears. Do you give them power over you? Or, do you have the courage to overcome them? I encourage you to be courageous and overcome your fears. Start today, and see how empowering it truly is!
